I'm sorry its been a while since I've posted on this blog. We are headed for New York on Saturday morning...and headed to Ethiopia on Sunday evening.
I just wanted to give an update on where FEED [1] Orphan stands financially. Through friends and family such as you all reading this..with sales of tshirts and jewelry and donations, we raised $1250.00 all profit for this ministry. While that may seem small to some...It is huge to us...as we had started this with $0.00 and just an idea to design and make up tshirts in hopes that you all might want to partner with us...as well as our sweet friend Nic at SweetTeaShop on Etsy. She graciously donated her time..and design to our ministry...I love NIC!
We will hopefully be updating our family blog while we are gone in Ethiopia.
You can find our family blog here
We will update FEED [1] Orphan blog when we return.
Thank you for all your help in feeding and providing for the people of Awassa, Ethiopia...as well as Ebenezer Grace Children's home, which is the orphanage we will be spending most of our time at.
May the Lord bless you and keep you and His love shine upon you and give you peace.

waiting children...
There are thousands of waiting children in this world. I was emailed a list today...and they just melted my heart.
Some may never get a home because of HIV. But HIV is totally safe for your family and children. With the medications we have here in the U.S a child diagnoised with this disease can live a normal life span.
Please take a moment to be educated on this disease.
And for your prayer closets....
please include these sweet faces.
praying always!

What has this world come to?!
As I was reading a blog post on a fellow bloggers blog today...the thought hit me.
WHAT HAS THIS WORLD COME TO?
Yes I'm saying that with a bit of frustration.
A world where we treat our animals better than we do our children? WHAT? This is not our Jesus or His heart.
Let us pray. Pray for God's hand to change this country. That we would value a baby or child above our animals. that children would not have to live like animals anymore.
this fellow blogger wrote [<---click that to read more] with a heart for change and preparation...
This, dear friends, is the reality of the institutionalized child. Many of them live in conditions our hearts cannot comprehend. They lie in cribs day in and day out and their only source of stimulation is the bars on their crib which they bang their heads on. Some will even gnaw on the cribs they are forced to live in just for some sort of stimulation (think caged animals!). Most of them are drugged—not with some mild sedative to help them asleep at night—no, they are drugged with adult tranquilizers to make them sleep 24/7. Most of these children live on diets which consist of some form of liquid mush—they have no idea how to even chew food at five years or six years of age. The tiny confines of a crib and a horribly inadequate diet ensure that they are severely malnourished. Truly, most of these precious children quickly get reduced to mere breathing corpses in the horrendous environments they live in.
AS I read this. My heart hurt. Instead of sitting in my emotions...I prayed. I cried out and asked the God who sees this happening to Please change the way we view children. The way we treat them. To LOVE them the way He loves us.
16 Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need. HEBREWS 4:16
Family let us come boldly for these kids. Let our God hear our hearts. May He move us to action if need be...move us to pray more[always!] Move us to be willing vessels for Him in anyway possible...and right now that is to Pray!
By HIS grace!

Update on Jonathan in EE
I'm writing this post with such a joyful heart and a little teary eyed. God is so good!
First off thank you all for praying and spreading the word about Jonathan! It is truly the body of Christ coming together and getting the word out that has brought this boy a family! Yes a real family who will love him as he has never been loved before. I can't imagine all that is going through his heart and mind right now....I'm excited and scared and overjoyed...again can't imagine how he's feeling.
I'm sure your thinking scared? Of what? Well as a blogging friend shared adoption comes with lots of spiritual battles. The enemy wants nothing more than to cause problems and delay this adoption as well as mess with the family adopting weather that is in there minds and hearts or finances or physical ailments. But I'm overjoyed because My God is bigger than all this!
Romans 5:1-4 says:
Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom also we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. And not only that, but we also glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance; and perseverance, character; and character, hope.
This will be my prayer for this family...to persevere! During all the trouble to persevere. In amazing times to persevere.
I will update you as there will be needs for this adoption...adoption is a huge expense...I'd love to see the body of Christ come along side and help support this adoption....please be praying now if this is something jesus wants you and your family to be a part of.
So blessed beyond measure!
